Welcome to F1Minute - Hamilton snatches US GP victory from Vettel.
We all expected there to be chaos into that tricky uphill first corner at the start of the US Grand Prix, but everyone got through there cleanly. Jenson Button lost a handful of places, whilst Lewis Hamilton made his way past Webber to take second place as Sebastian Vettel retained his lead.
There was no time for him to disappear off into the distance though, as Hamilton stuck with him, chased him down and finally managed to take the position. It was just as close at the end, with Lewis stealing victory from Vettel by just half a second.
Meanwhile, Fernando Alonso did the best he could to stay in the championship fight, clinging on to third place ahead of teammate Felipe Massa - who showed great pace throughout the weekend.
Webber retired from the race with the dreaded Renault alternator failure, whilst Jean-Éric Vergne was the only other retiree. It was one stop strategies all round, except for Michael Schumacher and Paul di Resta who both came into the pits twice.
