Button Targeting Improved 2013

believes that he will have a successful 2013 season as McLaren’s number one driver.

The 32-year-old finished fifth in last season’s Drivers’ rankings, winning three races.

With ’s departure, he will be partnered by Mexican rookie , making him the undisputed top dog.

He confessed that he wasn’t happy with 2012, but feels that he can move the team on next year:

“In terms of the end result and the points, I’m not happy – but in terms of what we learned this year it’s been really useful.

“We are here to do a job and I want to win races and another world championship. I think we can do it.

“With Lewis having left I have a couple of months to really direct the team into what I would like the car to be.”
